Grants progress, and governance updates: HUMAN Newsletter #16

2 min read

April was a month with improvements across many verticals. The HUMAN App is soon to be multichain, and voters on Commonwealth now require 1 HMT (ERC-20) to vote. There has been plenty of progress on existing grantees – alongside an astonishing 50 new grant applications in April alone – and a flurry of new educational content related to AI.

A multichain app

With the imminent integration of SKALE, anyone signing up to the HUMAN App must demonstrate that their wallet is multichain compatible. The HUMAN App remains compatible with Polygon, but SKALE will help to fulfill the potential of the app.

We have sent a notice requiring all users of the HUMAN App to update their wallet addresses, and/or confirm they are multi chain compatible, to ensure that HMT rewards are received.

Grants progress

50 projects applied for grants in April alone!

The core contributors at HUMAN Protocol Foundation are currently reviewing each application carefully.

On current grantees, Signa-X has finished the second part of their grant. The scope of the grant is to integrate our oracle network to launch, verify and initiate payout in HMT for game-related challenges in Web3.

They have completed the creation of customizable admin dashboards on which game developers can access registrations and players pertaining to their specific ecosystem. The dashboard also includes a functionality to generate dynamic challenge-level links, and referral mechanisms. The first game developers are already testing it, we hope to show some examples soon.

MeProtocol is also launching their closed beta for their loyalty rewards program  – if you are interested in participating with your Web3 project, reach out to us and we’ll be happy to introduce you to them.

AI education

While the tech contributors work hard to bring through a few key integrations, including SKALE, and CVAT, there has been ongoing work to help educate the wider community with new, fresh topics in the blog.

The ‘AI gone wrong’ series has been established to help people understand the dangers surrounding AI, and how HUMAN Protocol is actively working on solutions to solving them. The series has looked at how a property company lost $300MM due to a faulty algorithm, and how a six year old girl accessed her parent’s credit card through Amazon’s Alexa.

Meanwhile, there has been a piece on how to look beyond the hype of AI and blockchain in order to see how they can help each other.

Governance update

The HUMAN Protocol forum on Commonwealth is where all votes related to governance will be held. Already on the forum, the community voted in favor of a proposal to offer a grant to a Maintainer of The Graph.

Now, anyone wishing to vote must hold 1 HMT (ERC-20). This is a way of reserving the right to vote for community members.
