Newconomics 2023 - Meet our Speakers: Filippo Chisari

2 min read

We’re getting closer to Newconomics in Lisbon where we have a great lineup of speakers and panellists all sharing their experience of web3 tech in business and exploring the future of economics and work. One such guest is Filippo Chisari, General Partner at the AgileGTM Web3 accelerator who has a passion for entrepreneurs working in our field. He kindly shared his thoughts on the future of work, how web3 tools are moving from consumer to back end integration.

Redefining the Business Landscape with Web3 Technologies at Newconomics

“At AgileGTM we are keen to see the great ideas and innovation that can emerge from working with web3 technologies. There are so many brands and businesses who have been exploring ways that they can interact with customers through NFTs and loyalty schemes, but it's the work behind the scenes that can really push businesses into new frontiers.

We set up the accelerator because brands are really ready for this shift and there are experts and innovators that just need a little bit of support so they can bring their products and services to those businesses. Our passion is for those people with the B2B focus who can see beyond the currencies and tokenized images that have been making headlines for too long.

As progress continues with web3 tech, we are seeing that there’s a real need for better UI and UX, increased safety and education for end users, businesses and those outside of the existing community. When these three things come together, it creates a really fertile space for innovation where businesses can see the new areas they can explore with less risk involved. If you apply this to something like IP in business, not only can it be tracked and kept safe, the people who work on these ideas may be equally rewarded for their work.

I think there is a misunderstanding right now about what blockchain can do. In the Satoshi Nakamoto white paper the idea was about a record of proof and peer to peer transaction that could release many of us from a lot of red tape. Today, there is a sense that this technology is more about upending existing systems entirely and losing money on crypto exchanges. It can be so much more and the entrepreneurs we are looking to support are the people who will bring their passionate expertise to life beyond the existing cliches.“

Find out more about the new economics of Web3 and how it can change the way we work together at the Newconomics event in Lisbon. Full details and registration can be found on the website.
