HUMAN community newsletter #14

2 min read

It has been a month of development and building – three new components of the HUMAN Protocol ecosystem have entered Beta testing: CVAT, and grantees Signa-X and MeProtocol

Furthermore, the collaboration with Hummingbot, Huming-HUMAN, a vision to enable decentralized market making with decentralized reward pools, is ready. Alex Newman, Protocol Designer, provided a demo of the product at ETH Denver, where the response from the community was extremely positive.

Beta phases

CVAT is a granular, semi-automated annotation tool that dramatically increases the kinds of data that can be labeled through the Protocol, and the speed at which labelling can be accomplished. CVAT jobs have been integrated with the HUMAN App, and since January it has been undergoing Beta testing with 100+ users.

Signa-X – a grantee tasked with extending the Job Launcher to launch in-game bounties for Web3 – and MeProtocol – which won a grant to launch Web3 loyalty program-related bounties – have both entered Beta testing.

If you want to try out these new developments, please get in touch!

Development

The Fortune app – an example application to demonstrate how HUMAN Protocol can be used – is making great progress, with the V1 complete, and architecture of V2 ready.

As for the HUMAN App, the tech team has implemented new measures to prevent system abuse by banning users who abuse the platform, and by only allowing a single email ID per KYC. As the community continues to solve millions of tasks a day on the HUMAN App, the need for a multichain approach is more prevalent than ever - and so we are happy to announce that the integration of Avalanche is also complete.

Ecosystem

We announced a grant for Basenode, which have started work on their invoicing and FIAT on-ramp system. This should dramatically ease the role of Requesters, who will be able to pay for work in FIAT. As for the Grants Program more generally, we have focused more on fulfilling the potential of current grantees instead of onboarding new ones. That said, we have a few very promising applications.

Our team were at ETH Denver where Alex Newman, our Protocol Designer, delivered a keynote: “Why I’m Bullish on Human Labor”. We invited two of our grantees to share the stage with us: Hummingbot, who are using HUMAN Protocol to track liquidity provision to facilitate decentralized reward pools, and Blockchain HELIX, who are using their Web3 identity product to help create digital identities for Workers. For those who missed it, here’s the video of the session.

Community

We launched a new community forum on Commonwealth, which you can learn about on our blog. A vote on providing a grant to SKALE network has already been proposed, and passed, by the community there. Make sure you sign up now to participate in future proposals!

On Twitter, Marketing Director, Maxime Sebti, held an AMA with OKX Chain. As for content, alongside our other blog posts and AI-focused conversations on Twitter, this month we have focused on the importance of decentralization.

We also held our first HUMAN Protocol meetup of 2023 in London. If you missed it, we will be at ETH Dubaï, and Web Summit, and Paris Blockchain Week.
